The 8079-O ultra-high-purity aluminum foil with advanced high-barrier coating (0.016–0.025 mm thickness, 200–1200 mm customizable width, PP/CPP dual-layer heat-seal + anti-corrosion coating) is the global power-battery industry’s gold standard for soft-pack lithium-ion pouch cells.
Alloy 8079-O: tensile strength 100–130 MPa, elongation > 12 %, pinhole ≤ 20 pcs/m².
Special high-barrier coating: electrolyte resistance (EC/EMC/DMC + LiPF6) > 5000 h at 85 °C, peel strength > 18 N/15 mm.
Meets UN38.3, IEC 62133, GB/T 36276 standards.
Result: pouch cells that survive 10+ years and 1500+ cycles without swelling or leakage, reduce weight 40 % vs metal can, and seal 50 % faster than Japanese/Korean competitors.
